Invasive Species Control
Aside from development, invasive species are the number one stressor on natural systems. In some instances, removal of a single non-native species can reestablish functioning natural systems where geomorphologic, hydrologic and biologic process can once again harmonize. Shelterbelt approaches plant and animal invasive species management projects with a fundamental understanding of the target species biology and the ecological functions it disrupts. With this understanding, we can craft solutions from prevention programs to site eradication all while minimally impacting native species and the people that live among them.
